..:: wander to magical places ::..

Hi! I am up on the {a flair for buttons} blog today with a this layout and process video. I used Simple Stories Vintage Great Escape collection and flair from the More Lovely Words 1 Flair Set. Here is a look at my layout:

I thought this collection was perfect for my photos! When I posted these photos on social media I commented that I was pretty sure gnomes or fairies lived in this log, and what perfect papers for that thought!  Also the words on the flair matched the sentiment of this story. Here a few close ups:

I layered a bunch of vegetation ephemera behind and around the photos. I loved making this one!

 I made a video of my process, if that's something that suits your fancy. I will let you know that it started a bit different than it turned out!

Thanks for stopping by and I will see you again soon! XO og.

..:: favorite circles ::..

Hi Friends! I am  up on the {a flair for buttons} blog today with this layout using three pieces of flair from the Geo Love Flair Set. I am using mostly Pinkfresh Studio papers from the Flyover States July kit from Paper Issues.

I started by formatting my photo in Photo Shop so that it was shaped like a circle and just under 3 inches. Then I used my 3 inch punch to punch my photo out with a bit of a white border.

The Pinkfresh studio paper from their Office Hours collection had tons of circles on it -- so I punched them out as well using my 1, 1.5, and two inch paper punches. I also punched some tiny circles that I'm going to guess are 1/2 inch or smaller! I splattered some inks for pops of color, and then I sprinkled the circles across the page and added my flair! I mean you cannot have a circle layout without flair, right?

This flair matches the colors of this collection perfectly!

When I shared this photo as an instagram post I titled it "some of my favorite circles", which became the title for this layout. I made a video of my process if that's something that suits your fancy!

Thanks so much for stopping by! See you again soon! XO o.g.

..:: shine ::..

Hi friends! Today I'm up on The Cut Shoppe blog with a layout I made using the Flower Garden cut file. Here is a look at the layout:

I cut the file with with card stock and then I  backed it with papers from Cocoa Vanilla Studios Happiness collection.

I added  couple pieces of flair from {a flair for buttons}, and some fussy cut butterflies. I also fussy cut a bunch of itsy bitsy flowers from the flower paper. The flair I used is from the Watercolor Patterns Flair Set.

For the title I used these acrylic pieces from Elle's Studio that match this collection perfectly!

..:: happiness is a mini-marshall stack ::..

Hi friends!!  I am up on The Cut Shoppe blog as well as the {A Flair for Buttons} blog with this layout using the Swirly & Twirly cut file and several pieces of flair. I grabbed a bunch of different Pinkfresh Studio collections (Out and About, Everyday Musings, and Joyful Day) and mixed and matched and came up with a rainbow of color!

Here is what the Swirly & Twirly cut file looks like in the shop.

I cut it first using white card stock.  Then, in the Silhouette software, I deleted all of the middle parts, and cut the outer part of the file using the rainbow paper from Out and About. This made it super easy to back the file!

The cut file inspired me to find all the circles and add them to my layout!  I used a few different sizes of circle punches, as well as circle embellishments to add clusters of circles throughout the page.

I popped up some of the circles with craft foam, and I also added some flair from {a flair for buttons} in each of the clusters.  This helped add some fun textures and dimension. This rainbow flair was PERFECT -- it's in the Tropical Vacation 2 flair set. Here are a few more close ups.

More circles, more flair! This one is from the Butterflies Flair Set.

This last piece of flair is from the Watercolors Flair set. I also made a video of my process if that's something that suits your fancy!

Thank you so much for stopping by! See you again soon! XO o.g.

..:: super unicorn girl ::..

Hello!  Today I have a fun layout for you using 2019 March Clique Kits [wonderful you] and flair from {a flair for buttons}!
AFFBSuperUnicornGirl
As soon as I saw that comic paper when I did my unboxing video, I knew what I wanted to do! First I set up my photos in Photoshop so they would be wonky squares like the background paper. It worked and I was pretty excited about that! I picked out three pieces of flair from the Comic Words 2 Flair Set from {a flair for buttons}.

This flair made the layout, if you ask me! Here are a few more close ups:

..:: beautiful you ::..

Hi friends! I am up on The Cut Shoppe blog and the {a flair for buttons} blog with this layout of my daughter. Today I am using the Beautiful You cut file. I cut the file using white card stock. I intended to use white letters, on my blue background, but then an accident happened, and I really liked the accident!  When I set the negative down on my paper, I had to go with it! Here is my layout :

Here's another look at the file in use:

Since my daughter's name is Bea, I thought it was the perfect file to use with a pic of her looking her BEAutiful self. I also liked the idea of backing the BEA with a different color. :-) I used a punch to punch out different sizes of butterflies to add as embellishment. I also added some awesome flair from {a flair for buttons}, of course!

This flair (above) is from the More Lovely Words 1 flair set. I love the blue flower.

The "dream" sentiment on the above flair was perfect -- with little pops of blue. Both the dream flair and the flair below are from the Lovely Words 2 flair set.

Bea had been in the sun the whole weekend, and looked so brown! So that is what I journaled about!

..:: love this ::..

Hi friends! I am up on the {a flair for buttons} blog today with a new layout using three pieces of flair from the shop. Have you ever had one of those photos that you are just waiting for the right product to arrive so you can scrap it??  This is one of those photos for me.  Recently, I got some new pieces of flair and Heidi Swapp's Color Fresh collection arrived at my door.  Bam!  Match made in heaven. Here is my layout:

I love the bright colors with the bold stripe! EEK!  I pulled out most of the hearts from the ephemera pack and the stickers and scattered them throughout the page. I also added a few gold hearts that are from the same sheet as the gold words in the collection. The photo corners became arrows when I added them to this background paper. So, see that flair right there beside my daughter's face?  PERFECT! It is from the Watercolor Hearts and Flowers flair set.

The 'soar' flair is from the Lovely Words 10 flair set. I love the pops of green it provides to the top of the page!

The butterfly is perfection. You can find that piece in the Lovely Words 9 flair set.

This one came together pretty quickly and I love how it turned out. I made a video of my process if that suits your fancy!

..:: enjoy life love livin' ::..

Hi friends! Today I have a  bright travel layout to share with you using the December 2018 (Rainbow) Clique Kit  and several pieces of flair from the {a flair for button} shop! I am also up on the {a flair for buttons} blog today. Here is my layout:

As soon as I got the December Clique Kit in the mail, I knew I would scrap this story about my daughter's love of suitcases with wheels!  And guess what?  {a flair for buttons} has the perfect flair for that!! I used flair from three different flair sets. This cute little VW van ifs rom the Summer Vibesflair set. The color matched perfectly, too! And if you watched my unboxing video of this kit -- you will know that I wanted to use that little rolling suitcase from the get go!

EnjoyLIveLoveLivingbutterfly

This "travel" flair is from the Tropical Vacation 2 flair set. Rockford, IL, our destination, is far from tropical, but the flair totally worked! :-)

EnjoyLIveLoveLivingbutterfly

And I just had to add a butterfly, since this was the year of butterflies for us! This gorgeous flair is from the More Lovely Words 1flair set.

One of my favorite things from the Rainbow kit are these exclusive acrylic pieces from Color Cast Designs! I love them!  I made a little skyline with them for this layout:

..:: hey guys ? ::..

Hi! I am up on The Cut Shoppe blog today with a layout using the pretty Flower Power 12x12 background cut file. This is a photo of my daughter in the hotel swimming pool -- one of her favorite things ever.  And my story is all about her obsession. Here is a look at the layout:

Here is the cut file:

For this layout I am using mostly items from Amy Tangerine's Sunshine & Good Times collection (from a while ago)!  I love it when I get to use up some of my stash.   I actually used my Silhouette Cameo to cut the file twice -- once I cut it as is for the white card stock. Then I used my Silhouette software to take out all of the middle parts so it would just cut the outside of the flowers -- this made it super easy to back it! Here's are a few close ups:

I started out with a white card stock background. I thought I might put some mixed media behind the area where the photos is --- and then I got carried away. :-)  I ended up with a full mixed media background behind the files. I used several sprays from Shimmerz Paints and a couple distress inks by Ranger Inks.  I used some foam to pop the whole cut file.

I fussy cut some butterflies and added some flair and tangled thread for the win! The flair is from the Watercolor Hearts and Flowers flair set available at the {a flair for buttons} etsy store. I also made a video of my process, if that suits your fancy!
