..:: totally clawsome ::..

Hi Friends! I am up on The Cut Shoppe Blog today with a layout using the Photo Album cut file. I shrunk down the file so that it wasn't a full page -- and I made my photos about 2x2 inches. Here is a look at my layout :

And here is a look at the cut file :

I backed the cut file with papers from Pretty Little Studio's Document Life Collection. I love these bright colors!  I popped up each of the photos with some craft photo to add dimension.

I added some banners to just about every photo. These banners are from a cut apart from the Bohemian Dreams collection also by Pretty Little Studio.

I used a hexagon punch to embellish to my layout. I made three clusters with these, using all the colors!  I added tangled thread through out for texture and more pops of color!

I printed my journaling on photo paper and cut it into strips! I also made a video of my process, if that's something that suits your fancy!

This was a fun one to put together! I hope you are inspired to create with this cut file. Thanks for stopping by! XO o.g.

..:: cheers of joy ::..

Hi Friends! I am up on The Cut Shoppe blog today with this layout using the Snack Attack cut file from The Cut Shoppe store.

Here is a look at the complete cut file:

I wanted the ice cream cone part of this cut file -- but I didn't want the words on there because they didn't fit my story, so I deleted them in the software before I hit cut!

I backed the cut file with paper from Shimelle's 6x6 paper pad in her Glitter Girl Collection. I originally chose this collection because it has ice cream cones in it -- and then I didn't use any of them! 😆

I fussy cut a bunch of flowers from the same collection and made clusters across the two page spread.

My title is a loose take on "tears of joy" but also, in this photo my daughter and I were doing "cheers" with our cones -- AND the paper on the cones say, "Joy". #seewhatididthere

I added some layers behind my photo and some journaling on both pages. This came together quickly and I really love using The Cut Shoppe TN cut files -- they make it so easy to put it all together!  I made a video of my process if that's something that suits your fancy.  I also made a video showing my process if that's something that suits your fancy!

Thanks for stopping by! See you again soon! XO o.g.

..:: better together ::..

Hi friends! I have a layout and process video to share with you using the June Clique Kits.

I started by ripping the patterned papers to create a vertical, The green paper is from Heidi Swapp and the pink paper is from 1 Canoe 2 Goldenrod collection.

I used the vellum specialty paper from Maggie Homes It's All Good collection -- it has beautiful gold accents. I fussy cut the flowers and tucked them into the layers. I used even more of this paper (fussy cut) on the far left side of the layout. I also fussy cut some strawberries out of a patterned paper from the same collection and tucked those in for another pop of color.

The hearts and ephemera are mostly from 1 Canoe 2 Goldenrod collection.

I really like how this one turned out. I made a video of my process if that's something that suits your fancy. Thanks for checking it out!

See you again soon! XO o.g.

..:: ribbon dancer ::..

Hi friends, I am a guest designer for Cheeky Studio and this is a layout that a made using items they sent me to try out! This particular layout was made using a lot of Cat Martin's Norwegian Wood collection. Here's my layout:

When I received my box of goodies in the mail, I did an unboxing video. I noticed that much of the items I received were autumn or fall collections. So, I challenged myself to make projects that looked more spring or summer, even though the products were fall! I think I did it!

I fussy cut some flowers from two different patterned papers. I also cut the white boarders off some of the die cuts so they would match.

I added some tangled thread a few places for a pop or two of color and texture.

I found these matching alphas in my stash -- I cannot believe how well they worked with this layout!

I made a video of my process if that's something that suits your fancy!

Thanks a lot to Cheeky Studio for sending me products and providing my readers/viewers with a discount code!

See you soon! XO o.g.

..:: i love you this much ::..

Hi friends, I am up on The Cut Shoppe blog today with this layout in my traveler's notebook.  I am using the This Much cut file and the June Clique Kit-- here's a look at the layout!

And here is a closer look at the cut file!

This spread was all about how much I love the ocean -- the sounds, the smells, and how it allows me to exhale deeply and relax!

I love the mix of papers from Pinkfresh Studio, Heidi Swapp, and One Canoe Two in this kit! They have the perfect mix of pinks and yellows!

I made a video of my process, if that's something that suits your fancy!

Thank you so much for stopping by and see you again soon! XO o.g.

..:: summer ::..

Hi friends! I am up on the {a flair for buttons} blog today with this summer layout! I am also participating in Audrey Yeager's Summer Scrappin 2019 YouTube fun -- and I'm her guest on day 6 of her 21 days of summer scrap videos.   Here is a look at my layout:

SummerIsForHashtagSummer

I used three pieces of flair in a visual triangle. The flair is from three different sets, and I think they worked quite well with the Maggie Holmes Sunny Days collection. Here are a few close ups.

SummerIsForHashtagSummer

The piece above is from the Hashtag Summer Flair set. The pink one below is from the Primary Arrows 1 Flairset.

The last piece is my favorite! It is from the Watercolor Patterns Flairset. I am in love with the watercolor look!

I had a little problem with my title -- but I found a way to fix it. Check out my process video to see what happened!

..:: release ::..

Hi friends! I am up on The Cut Shoppe blog today with this layout using the Butterfly Wings cut file and papers by Paige Taylor Evans. This was a super important story for me to tell, and so I needed to add quite a bit of journaling.  I decided to build it right into the design.  Here is my layout:

Here is what the cut file looks like by itself!

I set the file up in my Silhouette software to cut the butterfly out of white card stock.  I also used the offset feature to make an bigger outline of the file.  Then I typed in my text using a sketch font and attached it to the butterfly outline.  I set my Silhouette to sketch instead of cut and Voila! Lots of text, built into the design.  I did make a video showing how if you are interested (see below).

I backed the file with pretty papers and then used a punch to punch out some small butterflies and added those across the page. For the punched butterflies I used the same papers and a couple of 6x8 papers from the collection. The phrases came from a 12x12 paper also included in the collection.

Around and behind the photo I added some tangled thread for texture and more color!

I made a video of my process if that's something that suits your fancy (I also tell the story more in depth and link to how to do the journaling)!

Thanks for stopping by, see you again soon! XO o.g.
