..:: delightful day ::..

Hi Friends! I'm up on The Cut Shoppe blog today with a layout using the "delightful" cut file. I used it as part of my title. Here is a look:

And here is a closer look at the file:

I cut the file first with white card stock. Then I used the Silhouette software to take out all the inside pieces, and recut it with the rainbow paper. This made backing the file super quick!

I used a lot of the Crate Paper All Heart collection for this layout. I added some ephemera and puffy stickers around the page. Here are a few close ups:

I loved using this file as a big title!  It made putting the rest of the layout together so easy! Thanks for stopping by and checking it out!  See you again soon! Xo o.g.

..:: lake life ::..

Hi Friends! I am up on The Cut Shoppe Blog today with a TN layout using the Campfire Stories cut file. Here is a look at my project:

Here is a look at the full cut file:

I used just the circle "lake life" part of this file and backed it with a pink patterned paper from Maggie Holmes Sunny Days collection. I also added a green heart sticker from the cardstock sticker sheet in the same collection.

I used papers mostly from the 6x8 paper pad because I like the smaller patterns for the TN size.

I typed my journaling directly on the white card stock background using my type writer. I added a few more stickers to complete the layout.  Here are a few more close ups.

I made a video of my process if that is something that suits your fancy!

Thank you so much for stopping by -- see you again soon! XO o.g.

..:: shine ::..

Hi friends! Today I'm up on The Cut Shoppe blog with a layout I made using the Flower Garden cut file. Here is a look at the layout:

I cut the file with with card stock and then I  backed it with papers from Cocoa Vanilla Studios Happiness collection.

I added  couple pieces of flair from {a flair for buttons}, and some fussy cut butterflies. I also fussy cut a bunch of itsy bitsy flowers from the flower paper. The flair I used is from the Watercolor Patterns Flair Set.

For the title I used these acrylic pieces from Elle's Studio that match this collection perfectly!

I made a video of my process, if that's something that suits your fancy!

See you again soon!  XO o.g.

..:: flower child ::..

Happy interNational Scrapbooking Day!  I will have two new layouts and videos up today with a challenge for each!  Let's get started!  The first is a layout I did as part of the design team at The Cut Shoppe. Here is my layout:

I am using one of the four free cut files the Cut Shoppe is giving away today. The one I am using is called Fabulous Floral. There are so many things going on today over at The Cut Shoppe Scrap Spot on FB, you can check them out here. (My challenge will be tomorrow)! Here is the file:

Here are all of them!

I am using a bunch of lovely papers and embellishments from Cocoa Vanilla Studios's Happiness collection -- which are in the iNSD Clique Kit (Limited Edition).  Here are a few close ups:

I love these colors and they match my daughter's shirt! 😀 Such a lovely cut file!  I also made a video of my process if that's something that suits your fancy!

Here is a discount code for you, too!

Thanks for stopping by!  See you later today with another post and another video! XO o.g.

..:: girl power ::..

Hi! I am up on The Cut Shoppe blog today with a layout using the Floral Wreath cut file and some pretty papers by Paige Taylor Evans. Here is a look at my layout!

Here is the file that I used:

When I cut the file, I cut the full wreath, but I also cut and pasted a few extra flowers so that I could have a few single flowers to use as embellishments!

I backed the cut file and the extra flowers with pink, blue, and orange papers. Then I added some more flowers from the floral die cuts.

I used a couple of butterfly punches to add some butterflies to my layout as well.

I did a little mixed media behind the wreath. I first put some gesso on my card stock, then I added some Shimmerz paints over the top for a watercolor look.

I really like how this one turned out, this was such a fun file to work with! I also made a process video if that's something that suits your fancy!

Thanks so much for stopping by -- see you again soon! XO o.g.

..:: release ::..

Hi friends! I am up on The Cut Shoppe blog today with this layout using the Butterfly Wings cut file and papers by Paige Taylor Evans. This was a super important story for me to tell, and so I needed to add quite a bit of journaling.  I decided to build it right into the design.  Here is my layout:

Here is what the cut file looks like by itself!

I set the file up in my Silhouette software to cut the butterfly out of white card stock.  I also used the offset feature to make an bigger outline of the file.  Then I typed in my text using a sketch font and attached it to the butterfly outline.  I set my Silhouette to sketch instead of cut and Voila! Lots of text, built into the design.  I did make a video showing how if you are interested (see below).

I backed the file with pretty papers and then used a punch to punch out some small butterflies and added those across the page. For the punched butterflies I used the same papers and a couple of 6x8 papers from the collection. The phrases came from a 12x12 paper also included in the collection.

Around and behind the photo I added some tangled thread for texture and more color!

I made a video of my process if that's something that suits your fancy (I also tell the story more in depth and link to how to do the journaling)!

Thanks for stopping by, see you again soon! XO o.g.

..:: happiness is a mini-marshall stack ::..

Hi friends!!  I am up on The Cut Shoppe blog as well as the {A Flair for Buttons} blog with this layout using the Swirly & Twirly cut file and several pieces of flair. I grabbed a bunch of different Pinkfresh Studio collections (Out and About, Everyday Musings, and Joyful Day) and mixed and matched and came up with a rainbow of color!

Here is what the Swirly & Twirly cut file looks like in the shop.

I cut it first using white card stock.  Then, in the Silhouette software, I deleted all of the middle parts, and cut the outer part of the file using the rainbow paper from Out and About. This made it super easy to back the file!

The cut file inspired me to find all the circles and add them to my layout!  I used a few different sizes of circle punches, as well as circle embellishments to add clusters of circles throughout the page.

I popped up some of the circles with craft foam, and I also added some flair from {a flair for buttons} in each of the clusters.  This helped add some fun textures and dimension. This rainbow flair was PERFECT -- it's in the Tropical Vacation 2 flair set. Here are a few more close ups.

More circles, more flair! This one is from the Butterflies Flair Set.

This last piece of flair is from the Watercolors Flair set. I also made a video of my process if that's something that suits your fancy!
