..:: flower behind ::..

Hi! Hope you are having a Happy Easter if that is something that you celebrate! I'm here today with a layout I made using items available in the April Scrapbook Circle Kit and some flair from A Flair For Buttons. I'm submitting this to their challenge this month that is all about metallics!  Here's my take on the challenge!

The story that I'm documenting today is all about my daughter, the song writer. B. has been using my typewriter (and sometimes her iPad) to type up songs that she has written. And they are actually pretty amazing. So for this layout, I wanted to document one of my favorites. I used it as the bulk of the journaling -- as you see below.

For the challenge I used a lot of copper foil fun! Pink fresh Studios Live On collection has these awesome alphas that are copper colored. There are also starts and asterisks on the alpha sheet! I added those throughout my wreath. For a closer look you can check out my process video, if that suits your fancy!

Here are a couple more close ups:

I did a lot of fussy cutting for this layout!

A layout isn't a layout without a little flair from A Flair For Buttons! For real. 😀

See you soon!

..:: sweet sweet little delights ::..

It's a product spotlight sort of day over on the Paper Issues blog and I got to play along!  Today we are putting the spotlight on Pinkfresh Studio's Live More collection. Here's my layout using this awesome collection:

Just a few splatters of mist and a little thread for my sewing -- the rest is all Pinkfresh. I used a little bit of everything on this layout -- die cuts from the ephemera pack, puffy stickers, word stickers, the arrow paperclips (took the clip off) and two sets of alphas!  I absolutely love how this one turned out!

Here's a close up of my 'subtitle'. 😀

And another close up of the splatters behind my title -- I love those acetate letters!

Check out the blog for more inspiration with this collection!  Grab some Pinkfresh from the store and use the code 'orangegearle' for 20% off your purchase!

..:: just chillaxin' ::..

Here's another layout that I did during Paper Issues online crop this weekend!  This was for the stitching challenge. I used both hand and machine stitching (two of my faves)!

For this layout I used items from Shimelle's most recent collection Little by Little.  I fussy cut those circles out -- and stitched them down with my machine. But before that I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut stitching holes for my title!  So fun!   Here are a few close ups!

This crop was so much fun! It's been great seeing all of the different takes on each challenge!
