My papers and embellishments came from Shimelle's Never Grow Up Collection that I purchased from the Paper Issues Store (use the code Orange Gearle for 20% off your order). I love that bird paper! The flowers on this flair match the scarlet color of in the patterned papers. They were the perfect addition to the page. Here are a few close ups of the flair:
These papers and flair were perfect for telling the story of our spring visitors!
I used the branding strips off several of the 12x12 papers on the left of side of the layout to add some splashes of color. I combined the Thickers and a chipboard sticker for my title.
This was a fun one to make! I made a video of my process if that's something that suits your fancy!
Thank you so much for stopping by and I will see you again soon! XO o.g.
I used a bunch of the die cuts from the floral ephemera pack to embellish around my photo and at the bottom of my layout.
For my title I used the one of the 12x12 patterned papers from the collection. One side is many alphas! So I cut them out and used them as my title! I popped some of the letters up with foam adhesive, and kept some of them flat to add a little bit of interest. Here are a few more close ups.

Hi Friends! I'm up on the Paper Issues Blog today with a layout for the April Monochromatic Fanatic challenge! I used mostly the February Kit for this layout, and a couple of punches! Here is a look at my project :
And here is a look at the inspiration board:
I actually took the honeycomb from this board, and added that in to my layout by using my hexagon punch to mimic the honeycomb. For the challenge, all you have to do is stick to the color -- but this stood out to me, so I added that in too. #overachiever
I love the Monochromatic Fanatic challenge every month, and this is not exception! It was fun to pick out all the yellow I could find!

Hi Friends! I am up on the {a flair for buttons} blog today with this layout using three pieces of flair from three different flair sets from {a flair for buttons}! Here is a look at what I made:
There was a virtual crop this last weekend at Paper Issues Facebook Page. One of the challenges was to use stitching -- so I did a bunch of stitching on this layout using metallic gold thread! Here are some close-ups:
This travel flair is from the Hashtag Summer Flair set. It fit the theme and color scheme of this layout. All of my papers are from the Paper Issues March Scrapbook kit (sold out).
This little sloth ephemera from the kit was perfect for this layout! And I thought this flair from the Lovely Words 10 Flair set matched his personality well!
And finally, you know I couldn't get by without adding adding a piece of flair from the Sloth Love Flair Set! This is the first of many layouts that I am sure I will do about how Covid-19 is changing how things work these days.

Hi Friends! It's Scraplift Sunday time! I am up on the Paper Issues Blog today with my take on the our scrap lift this week! We are lifting MandaJane today and you can find her layout here. Here is my layout using the gorgeous Cocoa Vanilla Studio Legendary Collection :
Here is a look at the original :
I stuck pretty close to the original -- one photo, three strips of patterned paper, three clusters, etc. I switched it up a bit by making one of my clusters include journaling instead of ephemera, and my strips are more "wonky" and roughed up. Here are a few close ups:
I added some wonky machine stitching and tangled thread to my layout as well. Just for a touch of color and added texture.
This was a fun one to scrap lift! I love Scraplift Sunday! I made a video of my process if that's something that suits your fancy!

I used black card stock and cut out the film strip part of the cut file. I sized my photos to fit inside the strips. I like that I was able to get so many photos on the page using this free file!
I wanted to use this lovely rainbow paper because the snowman they made used so many rainbow colors in the buttons, scarf, and mittens. There are beautiful florals included in the ephemera pack for this collection, but I thought snowflakes might fit the story a little better. I used a punch and paper from the 6x6 paper pad to make snowflakes in the matching rainbow colors.
I added some pops of black throughout the page and I also added some of the chipboard flair from the collection -- in all the matching colors!

I was inspired by the Monochromatic Fanatic challenge over in the Paper Issues {Friends & Fans} FB page. For the month of March we are using mostly GREEN on our project for this challenge. I wanted to add a few pops of black and white to break up all the green -- and that's where the flair came in! Here are a few close ups:
I thought the speech bubble "Live life on your terms" fit perfectly with the "Wander without reason" flair!
I did a bunch of stitching behind the whole layout, just to add some fun texture and more green to the page. I also had a little fun with the title.
And here is a look at the story behind the photo:

I followed the main idea of the sketch -- a wreath design with two overlapping photos and some embellishments in two clusters. I didn't follow it exactly, but I think you can tell I used this sketch as inspiration for sure. I also used my Silhouette Cameo software and a sketch pen to journal around the circle!
I cut the Heart Wreath free cut file out of white card stock, then I backed some of the hearts with papers from the 6x6 Doodlebug Love Notes paper pack. Before putting it down on the page, I added some pink and read Vicki Boutin paint behind the cut file.
I stitched some of the hearts using some yellow embroidery floss. I also added some to my photo, because the sketch indicates some embellishment on the photo.
I used a couple of banners and speech bubbles from the Chit Chat Ephemera pack as embellishment along the wreath and also in the top left and bottom right of the page.
For my title I cut "This Girl" free hand out of the same 6x6 papers I used to back the cut file. Each sentence in my journaling starts with the words, "Right now this girl", so that's what I used as my title.
I did make a video of my process if that's something that suits your fancy!
