As soon as I got the December Clique Kit in the mail, I knew I would scrap this story about my daughter's love of suitcases with wheels! And guess what? {a flair for buttons} has the perfect flair for that!! I used flair from three different flair sets. This cute little VW van ifs rom the Summer Vibesflair set. The color matched perfectly, too! And if you watched my unboxing video of this kit -- you will know that I wanted to use that little rolling suitcase from the get go!
This "travel" flair is from the Tropical Vacation 2 flair set. Rockford, IL, our destination, is far from tropical, but the flair totally worked! :-)
And I just had to add a butterfly, since this was the year of butterflies for us! This gorgeous flair is from the More Lovely Words 1flair set.
One of my favorite things from the Rainbow kit are these exclusive acrylic pieces from Color Cast Designs! I love them! I made a little skyline with them for this layout:
Here is my journaling:
I made a video of my process, if that suits your fancy!
I wanted to get as many yummy papers from this collection included on the layout, so I grabbed a free cut file from the Paper Issues Store (there are a bunch that can be found here) and back the file with papers from the collection. I also used the heart puffy stickers and some washi from the collection. That arrow flair is from another Fancy Pants collection! :-)
A layout isn't complete with out some splatters and a little mess -- and some stitching -- so I did that of course. I also added some stamped sequins from the stamp set included with the Sweet Nothings collection.

Yay for Christmas week! I'm using items from the Fancy Pants -- Wish Season collection this week (and a Paper POP) -- both available in the Paper Issues Store.
This week the Product Spotlight on the Paper Issues Blog is the Fancy Pants Wish Season Collection. I've made a layout or two with it already -- and I'm using it in my December Daily. For this spotlight, though, I grabbed the puffy stickers, die cuts and some paper from the 6x6 pad and got busy. I turned circles into ornaments, and squares into boxes. My week wouldn't be complete without some water color (actually Gelatos with a water brush). This week I used the Gelatos to wrote "joy" and added some color to the days of the week.
As always I am using my Get To Work Book by Elise Cripe. I did cut off the original binding and it fits in my A5 filofax perfectly!
New things are coming into the Paper Issues Store quite frequently -- have you checked it out lately? When you pick up your next order, don't forget to use the code 'orangegearle' for 20% off your purchase!
It's round two for the Owl I Want For Christmas issue on the Paper Issues Blog -- and I'm super excited to participate!
This layout includes photos from B.'s letter writing and drawing for Santa this year! The whole story is housed in my December Daily, but these photos were extra cute and needs a layout devoted to them!
I used circles and triangles cut from Fancy Pant's Wish Season collection. I added several little puffy stickers from the same collection and some Heidi Swapp Color Shine for the win. Those little curved banners are from the die cuts that come with the collection as well. I'm pretty sure that red and white striped paper is my fave (I've used it on several projects, and I may have to buy more)!
So what is Owl I Want for Christmas all about? Here are a few ideas to get you started (use one or use them all). Feel free to use any product you'd like.

Believe it or not, I have another card for you today! I know, right?
While I was working on this layout that I shared earlier this week for Paper Issues using Fancy Pants Designs Summer Sun Collection, I made this card, too! I used both the front and back sides of that yellow paper, and then I punched out circles from various patterned papers in the collection and placed them along the seam. A little misting and a Lawn Fawn stamp and it was done! Simple and already given to a sweet friend!
I'm linking this one up to our current issue at Paper Issues. Link up your old or new images that fit the theme "Mist-er Fix-It" for a chance to win! Here are a couple of close-ups:
The wood veneer "sun" and the background patterned paper inspired cutting the photos into circles.
I layered some of the square die cuts included in the collection for behind my photos. I also used some arrows and fun shaped boarders.
In the collection there are also some round embellishments that I scattered throughout the photos. I loved working with this collection!

Some of the PI girls are playing with a sketch today over on the Paper Issues blog! I was all sneaky and grabbed this photo of my grandson and his big sister from my daughter's Facebook page so I could do this layout! I love this photo!
I'm using a lot of "Dream in Color" by Webster's Pages on this layout! I totally love this combination of colors and designs! Brandin O'Neal hit this collection out of the ballpark. It's available in the Paper Issues Store here.
I absolutely love all those circles (I changed a few circles to circles inside squares just to mix it up a bit).
As usual, lots of stitching all over, and I added a few layers under the photo.
This was a fun one! And it came together quickly with all these awesome papers and a great sketch!

Hi friends! I'm up on the Paper Issues Blog today with a new layout!
This LO tells the story of B. loving that new book smell! She made us all smell the inside of the book (it was brand new -- the first time it was checked out from the library)! She's hilarious!
When I saw this cute flair from Fancy Pants, I knew I had to use this collection to document this story!
