..:: plant lady ::..

Hi friends!  I have a new layout featuring Shimmerz Paints to share with you! Here is my layout:

So for this layout I cut flowers from white card stock and leaves from one of the patterned papers in Crate Paper's Wild Heart collection. I backed the flowers with yellow, pink, and coral papers from the same collection.

Next I used three different Shimmerz products to add some texture and shimmer to the flowers. I used Creameez Trippin in the Tropics and Strawberry Fields and Inkings Good as Gold. I absolutely love this look! Here are a couple more close ups:

For a closer look at my process, if it suits your fancy, I invite you to check out this video of my process!

..:: water is my element ::..

Hi friends! I am up on the {a flair for buttons} blog today with this layout that I made using three pieces of flair. I am also super lucky to be a part of Audrey Yeager's Summer Scrappin' Series on YouTube today (so scroll down for the process video).  Here is my layout:

I used Pinkfresh Studio's newest collection called Simple and Sweet, which I purchased from the Paper Issues Store.

I used two pieces of flair from the Summer Vibes flair set, which I thought matched perfectly!

I tell the story about my daughter's daily funniness. She cracks us up, errryday.

Doesn't this flair from the Tropical Vacation 2 Flair set match perfectly??

I really loved putting this one together! If you'd like to see how I did it -- check out my process video (if that suits your fancy)!

..:: stay magical ::..

Hi Friends! I am up on The Cut Shoppe Blog today with this layout using the Bermuda Triangle cut file and the Dear Lizzy Stay Colorful collection that I purchased at the Paper Issues Store.

Here is the great cut file!  I love the wonky triangles!

Here are a few close ups!

I backed the triangles with little bits from the 6x6 paper pad that comes with the collection.

I used some butterflies from the ephemera pack, and added more by fussy cutting them out of the 6x6 pad!

I added some tangled thread in all the right places, a few Tim Holtz phrase stickers, and some sequins to finish it off!

So something that's awesome for me this week is that I learned how to use my Silhouette Cameo and sketch pens to journal on my layout!  Woot!  A good friend of mine showed me how and I tried it and I liked it. You might see all my journaling this way for a while. LOL :-)

I made a process video, if that's something that suits your fancy!

Thanks so much for stopping by! I will see you again soon!  XO o.g.

..:: enjoy the journey embrace the detours ::..

Hi friends I am up on the {a flair for buttons} blog with this layout using flair from Just Hearts 2 FlairHello Life Flair, and Lovely Words 2.  I started with a piece of white card stock and created my background using several (new) Shimmerz Paints!  Here is my layout:

I made a background by painting stripes with four different colors of Shimmerz. And I love how it turned out. I used Shimmerz Limoncello, It's Mint to Be, Lilac Bloom, and Orange Sherbet. Here is what it looks like up close.

Next I picked out three pieces of flair from {a flair for buttons} and decided that the Pinkfresh Studio collections of Be You, Let Your Heart Decide, and Case of the Blahs went together quite nicely!  Here are the flairs up close!

My title is a quote --- something to remember for me and my daughter (and whoever else looks at this LO in years to come) -- Enjoy the Journey and Embrace the Detours. This quote fits my photos perfectly. It was before school/work and my daughter decided to take a moment to blow the dandelion seeds around. Instead of saying what I wanted to, "Come on we are going to be late," I decided to stop, enjoy the moment, and take a few pictures. It was a good decision.

I added a bunch of stitching to this layout to finish it off. I also made a video of my process if that's something that suits your fancy!

If you decide to purchase something from the Shimmerz Store....remember if you put my name in the comments you will get a little something extra with your order!

Thanks for stopping by and see you again soon! XO o.g.

..:: making memories with my tribe ::..

I friends, up with my second post of the day! :-)  This is a layout I made as an Ambassador for Clique Kits, and I am using the June Kit - Horizon. There is a Project Sheet on the website highlighting this layout. You can find that here. Here is my layout:

So have you ever had one of those pictures that you had to scrap as soon as you took it?  This was one of those!  This is a photo of my daughter and two grandsons playing with Play-doh this past weekend. The colors in the photo and these papers were perfectly meant for each other!

I used the acrylic word "memories" for part of my title, and I free hand cut the word "making" using one of the patterned papers included in the kit.

I finished off my title using a phrase from the June Printable and the word "with" from the Pretty Little Studio phrase stickers included in the kit.

I added tons of florals behind, on, and around my photo, and some sequins to complete my layout.

I made a video of my process, if that's something that suits your fancy!

Thank you so much for stopping by! See you again soon! XO o.g.

..:: you are so loved ::..

Hi friends! I am up on The Cut Shoppe Blog today with this layout using a cut file from the store! Here is my layout:

The cut file that I used is called Rise and Shine 12x12.

I used just part of the cut file (I actually used my scissors to cut it into two pieces and used one piece) for this design. I already have plans to use this one again on another layout that is sunny and summery. :-)

I've really been stuck on Maggie Holmes' most recent collection, Flourish, and I absolutely loved using it with this cut file for this layout. Here are a few closeups!

I made a process video, if that's something that suits your fancy!

Thank you so much for stopping by! See you again soon (really soon, I have another post going live later today)!
