..:: life is good ::..

Hi!  Stopping by to share my layout for Sketch Friday using the 2018 January Hip Kit Club Kits. Here is my take on the sketch.

And here is Jessica's Sketch!

My most favorite item in the kits this month are these Hip Kit Club Exclusive Die Cuts designed by Kim Watson. They are found in the main kit. So I used almost all of them on this project!

I started by using the Distress Oxide inks included in the Color Kit to make a circle on my page. First I added a bit of water to the ink and used the packaging technique. When that dried, I used the inks and the stamp from the kit to stamp over the top!

I used several Vicki Boutin stickers to add pops of black and white throughout the layout as well. I like the way this brings out the black and white photo.

I also used a few of the AC translucent phrase stickers from PL kit.

Finally I used the Vicki Boutin phrase Thickers found in the Embellishment Kit for my title. I really like how this one turned out! I also made a video of my process if that suits your fancy!

Thanks for stopping by! See you soon!

..:: delicious december day ::..

Hi! I hope everyone has had a great holiday season! I am ready for 2018, are you? Today I am sharing a project that I made using the December 2017 Hip Kit Club kits and a HKC sketch by fellow DT member Anna Komenda. Here's the sketch:

I used one of the HKC Exclusive papers found in both the main kit and the paper add-on. Fellow DT member Irit Landgraf designed it and these flowers are divine!  I'm not sure why I chose flowers for a boy layout with a Christmas-y theme (other than I love it) -- but it totally worked!  My grandson is eating Christmas cookies -- and loving them. :-)

I replaced the snowflakes from the sketch with stars. There are tons of stars in this months kits. I used Pink Fresh Studio puffy stickers and also their stitched layered stars. I layered behind the photos with exclusive cards from the PL kit. I added a few extra splatters and sequins for good measure.

Here is a look at that exclusive paper by Irit .

For my title, I fussy cut "YAY" from a sticker on Crate Paper's Good Vibes sticker sheet included in the December PL kit. I used a die cut from the ephemera pack for the word "Delicious".  And I did some more fussy cutting with a exclusive card included in the PL kit. "Day" is also from the Good Vibes collection and included in the Main kit. It was fun to put together all of the different font combinations for this title!

I also made a video of my process if that's something that suits your fancy.

Thanks a lot for stopping by! I will see you again soon -- on to a great 2018!
