..:: let love grow ::..

Hi friends! I am up on The Cut Shoppe blog today with this project in my traveler's notebook!  I am working again in the TN that I made recently to house some of my thoughts about hope, love, and joy. I made it using scraps from the NSD Clique Kit -- full of mostly Jillibean Soup products. I am totally loving this project! Today I am using THREE different files from the The Cut Shoppe Etsy Store.  Here's my project.

 I used the Super Star Alpha for part of my title -- and I totally dig it. The stars are amazing.

For the photo side of my spread I started with a great heart background! These cut files are made just for a TN -- the perfect size and the perfect way to jazz up the page and add some interest. There are several to choose from in the Love Rules TN cut file.

Since this photo was of my cute little succulents, I just had to use the little plants included on the Road Trip printable! It is so handy to be able to print and have the Cameo cut it out for me!

I did make a video of my process, if that's something that suits your fancy! In it I tell a little bit more about the idea of my TN theme, and how this TN came to be!

Thanks so much for stopping by! See you again soon! XO o.g.

..:: it is all about perspective ::..

Hi friends! Today I am sharing a Traveler's Notebook spread with you! I created a Traveler's Notebook that is sort of a "junk" style -- it uses many different sizes and scraps of paper from an older Clique Kits kit that I am trying to use up. I will do a complete share of that journal at a later date, but I thought I would go ahead and share this first spread with you today!

I started with this tag that came in the NSD Clique Kits kit. It was white -- but grabbed my Shimmerz Products and changed that! 😉

For my tag, I started by using the Shimmerz Stampz called Bed of Roses, and Versa Mark ink to stamp on the tag.  Then I applied white embossing powder and use my heat tool to set it.  The embossing acts as a resist, so when I added my color over the top, you could really see the beautiful stamp! I used Coloringz Pink Stilettos, Coloringz No Yolking, and Coloringz Lil' Yellow Skool Bus to make that tag purdy! The Pink Stilettos matches the shoes in this photo perfectly, don't ya think?

I'm hoping to fill this little TN with positive thoughts and things to remind myself how lucky we really are. This story, a little story about perspective seemed fitting. Here are a few close ups:

I made a video of my process, if that suits your fancy!

..:: baby you're a firework! ::..

Hi!  Happy 5th of July! I'm participating in the July Take 5 Tuesday Challenge over on the Paper Issues Blog today.  I scrapped this photo from the 4th of July, 2013.

I went all out theme-y for this one (which isn't usually my style, but I kinda like it anyway)! I pulled all of my patterned papers and stickers from Amy Tangerine's Better Together collection. I added some blue and red sequins from Jillibean Soup, and Mister Huey's for the paint splatters!

I created this fireworks cut file and it's available in the shop for free!  I backed the cut file with various papers from the Better Together Collection.

To participate in Take 5 Tuesday, you just need to pick 5 of the things from the list and use them! I used 8 (I've always been an over achiever)! Ha!

Play along with this challenge, or any of the other July challenges in the Paper Issues {Friends and Fans} group! You have until August 1st to enter! Details are also on the Paper Issues Blog!

There are new items in the store (along with that free cut file). Grab 'em quick and use the code 'orangegearle' for 20% off your purchase!
Thanks for stopping by!

Scrap Your Story :: Beatrice @ bat

UPDATE:  I'm linking this up to Paper Issues Feb. 7, 2015 Issue Hip to Be Square (I used square photos and some {aflairforbuttons} flair.

It's FRIDAY!  Scrap Your Story Challenge blog has a new challenge posted! This week we are all about childhood!

This week I was fortunate enough to be able to hang out with a friend and scrap & chat all afternoon! Love getting that time to catch up, and share some creative juices! I had the basic idea of this page (and even some of it created) before we met, but it was so awesome to be able to say, "What do you think of this....or this...or..."! I think we each created 2-3 pages that day -- we must do it again soon!

Most everything came from Jillibean Soup :: Irish Farm House Soup collection pack.  I added some wood veneers, washi and "today" flair from A Flair For Buttons.

For the painted stars in the background I made a stencil using my Silhouette Cameo.  Then I used Tim Holtz Distress paint (Antique White) to paint the stars on. Best part: I used blank stencil "paper" (did you know you can purchase that at Michael's?) to create the star stencil, so I can use it over and over again!

Fun!  We are off to a great adventure this weekend!  I am going to attempt my first "Smash" book to document the trip! I'll update you soon!
