..:: 2 peas ::..

Hi Friends! I am up on the Paper Issues Blog with a layout for the Streaks and Stripes Challenge over in the Paper Issues {Friends & Fans} Facebook Group.

I started with white card stock. I drew a heart with a pencil and then I got busy with my Kuretake Gansai Tambi Watercolors to paint a rainbow of fun! When it was dry I stitched around the heart using black thread and my sewing machine.

To embellish I used the Chasing Stars 12x12 paper from Vicki Boutin's Let's Wander collection and the same paper from the 6x8 paper pad.  I fussy cut stars in rainbow colors and added those to the page.

I typed my journaling and added a title. I also added a few layers of paper behind the photo and a 12x12 paper as a border around the whole layout. I love making colorful pages with pops of black and white!

I made a video of my process if that's something that suits your fancy!

..::create::..

Hello friends!  I am up on the Paper Issues Blog today with this layout I created for the Split Personality Challenge over in the Paper Issues {Friends & Fans} Facebook group.  For the challenge I chose to split my layout in half diagonally.  Here is a look at my layout :

I used ephemera and several patterned papers from Vicki Boutin's Wildflower & Honey collection and I fussy cut them all! Then I layered them across half of my page to create the diagonal design. I saved a few of them to place in the upper left corner to balance things out a bit.

I printed my journaling using my computer and added black Thickers of a couple of different sizes for my title. Finally, I added some butterflies and splatters for the final touch. Here are a few close ups of my project:

..:: out on a limb ::..

Hi! I have a layout  and process video to share with you using the April Clique Kit! I used all the Vicki Boutin flowers on this one!  I love how it turned out! Here is my layout:

And here are a few close up!

I even fussy cut some packaging to add just a few more flowers to the layout!

Check out my process -- if that's something that suits your fancy!

..:: the meaning of you ::..

Hi friends! Just a note to let you know that I have a new video up on my YT channel and the Clique Kits YT channel. I am working with the April kit, Full Bloom. I love the mix of Vicki Boutin and Heidi Swapp.
 I did a bunch of fussy cutting and put together this pretty simple layout quickly and I love it!

 My goal was to tell the story of the meaning of Bea's name. :-)  So I chose a photo that is just "her" and got busy.

Here is the video of my process, if that's something that suits your fancy!

..:: all at once ::..

Hi Friends! I am up on The Cut Shoppe Blog today with a new layout in my traveler's notebook.

For this layout I used the Falling for You TN cut file.

I have a couple of favorite fall quotes, and The Cut Shoppe has them both covered (my other favorite can be found here).

I started with some fall papers, but I ended up accidentally seeing this photo with that pink and yellow and I had to go bright and colorful! So for most of this layout I am using Field Notes by Vicki Bouton. Here's a closer look at the cut file:

I backed the pumpkin and leaves with patterned paper from the collection as well. I also fussy cut some circles out of the same paper.

This whole TN will eventually be a "right now" and so my quotes are going to be about living in the moment and embracing positive life (and least that's where I'm headed so far)! 😀

This was a fun and quick layout to make -- and I like how it turned out! Thanks so much for stopping by! XO o.g.

..:: singing in the rain ::..

Hi friends! I am up on the {a flair for buttons} blog today with this super fun and colorful layout. You might think this is a spring layout -- but it actually all happened this fall. :-)  We have had a lot of rain. And my daughter made the best of it, as usual. Here is my layout.

As you can see I used a ton of Shimmerz Paints on this one as well. It was so much fun to make! I actually used ten different Shimmerz products for this one!  I started with this cut file from The Cut Shoppe and made my rain drops, then I added the paint and stitching. I found four pieces of flair (all from the Linen Hearts Flair set) that worked quite well with the Vicki Boutin ephemera pieces. I love how the stitching and color blocking worked out!  Here are a few close ups:

I made a video of my process if that suits your fancy (the Shimmerz Products used are linked in the video comments as well).

Thank you so much for stopping by. Look for another layout and video SOON. XO o.g.

..:: sweet kisses ::..

Hi friends! I am up on The Cut Shoppe and {A Flair for Buttons} blogs with this layout today!  I used flair from the Hashtag Summer flair set and the Primary Arrows flair set. The cut file I used is called Flower Arrangement and it was new to Th Cut Shoppe last week!

I started with white card stock and a brayer. I recently purchased Vicki Boutin art crayons and I wanted to try them out! So I used a couple of the yellow crayons, water, and a brayer to create my background.   Next, I grabbed the 6x6 paper pad from Pinkfresh Studio's Simple & Sweet collection to back a few of the petals on the flowers. I love how this turned out!

I layered some patterned papers, embellishments and tissue paper behind my photo. The I grabbed my new flair from {a flair for buttons} and found a few that matched perfectly! This #family one is my favorite and it is from the Hashtag Summer flair set. I also used a couple of pieces of flair from the Primary Arrows 1 flair set for extra pops of color.

I added a bunch of stitching around my page and through my title to finish it off. I made a video of my process if that's something that suits your fancy.

..:: chucks ::..

Hi friends! Here to share my most recent assignment for Hip Kit Club -- and a process video.  My assignment this week was to use the Main Kit only. I am using the 2018 January Main kit for this layout.  I started with a gorgeous cut file by Kim Watson -- available under the cut files tab here

I decided to go big or go home with this one and I cut it out as big as possible.  Then I backed it with the rainbow Hip Kit Club Exclusive paper found in the main kit (also designed by Kim Watson). I cut the cut file into two parts so that I have it go off the edge of the paper on two sides.

I stitched around the flower cut file with several colors of floss -- and I love how that turned out!!!

To finish off the layout, I used the Hip Kit Club exclusive die cut ephemera -- and then fussy cut a few extra flowers from the opposite side of that rainbow paper. I also added a few black and white elements from the Vicki Boutin stickers included in the kit.

I also made a video of my process, if that suits your fancy.

Thanks for stopping by -- see you again soon!

..:: awesome moments ::..

Hi Friends! Hope the first week of 2018 has been kind to you! I'm here to share my Hip Kit Club assignment with you for this week. I got to work with the 2017 December Kits and a sketch by Irit Landgraf. Here is the sketch:

And here is my take on the sketch:

The December kits are full of items from Crate Paper's Good Vibes collection, Pink Fresh Studio stars, and Vicki Boutin's ephemera pack -- AND I USED THEM ALL!  (well, not literally all of the embellishments, but several items from each pack)! 😀 As I was looking through the embellishments from both packs, I kept finding oranges and greens. And then I found this butterfly!

Those colors, the cork items, and this butterfly helped me find a color focus. There are so many items in the kits to use, it was nice to have a focus. 😀 I pulled out everything I could find in those colors and got busy. Scroll to the bottom for my process video, or continue if you want to read about it.

The layers in the sketch inspired me to create a LO with a ton of layers behind my photo. Die cuts, frames (love those frames) and stickers! I didn't use any patterned paper on this layout! Here are a couple more close ups:

For the title I used a die cut and a sticker -- Awesome Moments. And this was an awesome everyday moment. As much as I have enjoyed creating Christmas projects over the last couple of months, it was great to get back to scrapping the everyday moments that I love!

I made a video of my process if that suits your fancy!

Thanks a lot for stopping by! See you again soon!
