..:: be bold and brave ::..

Hi Friends! I am up on the {a flair for buttons} blog and my You Tube channel with this layout using flair from my favorite shop and the May 2019 Clique Kit Great Expectations. This flair is from the Brave Soul Flair set. Here is a look at my mini book.

I used a Paige Evans cut file called 1 Piece of Paper Mini Album. I added gesso and then color using mostly Shimmerz sprays. Finally, I added papers and embellishments mostly from Crate Paper's All Heart collection -- that is in the Great Expectations kit.  Here are a few more close ups.

I used stickers and die cuts from the kit (All Heart collection) as well. This was so fun to put together.

I made a few tags from the papers using my Big Shot. Some of the tags are peeking out of the book. I love that!

I have a full process video and a quick flip through (which includes a close ups of each page) on my You Tube channel if that's something that suits your fancy!

Thanks for stopping by -- see you again soon!

..:: december daily day 23 ::..

Hello friends! I am back today with another day in my December Daily Album. I am also up on the {a flair for buttons} blog with this one. Here is my day 23 spread:

This two page spread looks like this when you flip the tag:

Here is a look at the flair I used on this layout:

It's a cardinal, and meant to represent those missing from our celebration. This flair is available in the Watercolor Winter Flair 3 set. Here is a look at my journaling:

I noticed a typo after I had already finished -- but I'm going to live with it.  Here are a couple more  close ups:

I'm so close to finishing this project! I made a video of my process, if that's something that suits your fancy!

Thanks for stopping by, and I will see you again soon!  XO o.g.

..:: december daily ::..

Hi friends! I am up on The Cut Shoppe blog today with Days 3 & 4 of my December Daily 2018. Here is a look at this two page spread:

For Day 3 I used the "You'll Shoot Your Eye Out Kid" from the Merry Movies cut file.

I cut the file using white card stock and then I backed it with patterned paper. I used the same paper to back the file that is on my other page -- this helped tie the two pages together.

For my journaling I did journal strips on Day 3 and tucked a tag behind my phone on Day 4. I have really enjoyed adding more of the story to this project!

I am using a lot of papers and embellishments from Crate Paper's Merry Days collection that I received in my Clique Kits Holiday Hipster Kit.  I have also added embellishments from Color Cast Designs throughout this project.  This is such a fun project! So far I have made a process video of each day as I go. I am adding them to this playlist if you'd like to see more.

So, of course, I made video of my process for this spread, if that's something that suits your fancy!

Thank you so much for stopping by, and I will see you again soon! XO o.g.

..:: plant lady ::..

Hi friends!  I have a new layout featuring Shimmerz Paints to share with you! Here is my layout:

So for this layout I cut flowers from white card stock and leaves from one of the patterned papers in Crate Paper's Wild Heart collection. I backed the flowers with yellow, pink, and coral papers from the same collection.

Next I used three different Shimmerz products to add some texture and shimmer to the flowers. I used Creameez Trippin in the Tropics and Strawberry Fields and Inkings Good as Gold. I absolutely love this look! Here are a couple more close ups:

For a closer look at my process, if it suits your fancy, I invite you to check out this video of my process!

..:: awesome moments ::..

Hi Friends! Hope the first week of 2018 has been kind to you! I'm here to share my Hip Kit Club assignment with you for this week. I got to work with the 2017 December Kits and a sketch by Irit Landgraf. Here is the sketch:

And here is my take on the sketch:

The December kits are full of items from Crate Paper's Good Vibes collection, Pink Fresh Studio stars, and Vicki Boutin's ephemera pack -- AND I USED THEM ALL!  (well, not literally all of the embellishments, but several items from each pack)! 😀 As I was looking through the embellishments from both packs, I kept finding oranges and greens. And then I found this butterfly!

Those colors, the cork items, and this butterfly helped me find a color focus. There are so many items in the kits to use, it was nice to have a focus. 😀 I pulled out everything I could find in those colors and got busy. Scroll to the bottom for my process video, or continue if you want to read about it.

The layers in the sketch inspired me to create a LO with a ton of layers behind my photo. Die cuts, frames (love those frames) and stickers! I didn't use any patterned paper on this layout! Here are a couple more close ups:

For the title I used a die cut and a sticker -- Awesome Moments. And this was an awesome everyday moment. As much as I have enjoyed creating Christmas projects over the last couple of months, it was great to get back to scrapping the everyday moments that I love!

I made a video of my process if that suits your fancy!

Thanks a lot for stopping by! See you again soon!

..:: the boys ::..

I played along with Sketchy Saturday over on the Paper Issues blog! These photos were taken when my oldest grandson met his new baby brother! Yay!

I used Crate Paper's Cool Kid collection (I've used this several times for layouts of this little many -- and now I have two little men)!

This is a great sketch! Check it out and play along! All the details can be found here!

..:: oh so loved ::..

It's Take Five Tuesday on the Paper Issues Blog! I played along this month with this layout I made using mostly the Gather collection by Maggie Holmes for Crate Paper.

The challenge asks you to pick five things from a list of twenty and use them on a project. You can check out the list at the link above. I chose:
1. blue 2. white 10. mist, ink, paint 12. alpha letters 13. stickers 15. fussy cutting (I fussy cut those rectangles from patterned paper)

Play along with us! Check out all the details here!

..:: winter wonderland ::..

There's a product spotlight going on over on the Paper Issues Blog! I happen to love these and this time I was able to play along. Anytime I can use Crate Paper, I pretty much do! This spotlight is using Crate Paper's Snow & Cocoa collection. I've made two or three layouts with this collection already, and I think I'm going to use it for most of my December Documentation. I simply love it!

I made a cutfile for this one (the trees) and it is free to you here. Here are a few close ups:

:: snow shenanigans ::

It's a new issue over at Paper Issues and I got to play along this month!  The theme is Going Cold Turkey in Snowvember. I love it! I chose to go with the snow idea, and used the new collection from Crate Paper called Snow and Cocoa.

The photos are from January. It was such a fun day, and Bea enjoyed exploring the new neighborhood and play in the snow. She also got a little silly. She found these giant snow balls in the play yard of the school across the street.  These photos were perfect for this collection!

Thread and layers for the win. ;-)

Lots of water colors in the background, and I love all the gold pops throughout this collection.

I used the wood veneers in the collection, but I wanted some gold -- so I embossed half of each letter. Then I added 'shenanigans' using a cut file that I created, backing each letter with patterned papers.

I loved working with this collection! I would love if you would play along with us -- details on how to do that are here.
