..:: hello spring break ::..

Hi Friends! I am up on the {a flair for buttons} blog today with this layout about Spring Break!  Here's my layout:

I used the Hello Spring cut file and the Up and Down background file from The Cut Shoppe as part of my title and my background. I think that Hello Spring cut file is one of my all time favorites!

I used a BUNCH of Shimmerz Paints to add a water color look to the cut file (for a full list of Shimmerz Products used, check out the description box in the process video). I used the Dear Lizzy Stay Colorful collection for my patterned papers (purchased from Paper Issues) and I added some gold elements with thread and alphas.

This piece of flair from the Inspirational Words 1 Flair  fit the feel of the layout perfectly -- and I simply love the design. The flower and the text are perfection.

I also used these butterflies from Color Cast Designs March release. I love them. I should buy some more for sure. Here are a couple more close ups:

I also made a process video if that suits your fancy! The description box includes all of the Shimmerz Paints that I used on this project!

Thank you so much for stopping by -- and I'll see you again soon!

..:: sunshine and rainbows ::..

Hi I am up on The Cut Shoppe blog with my first layout for them as a member of the Design Team. I did a lot of hand stitching on this layout! Here is what I came up with:

I used two cut files for this layout. First I set up my Silhouette Cameo to cut holes in my card stock using the Dainty Doily cut file. For some reason when I saw this cut file I couldn't stop seeing rainbows -- so I stitched rainbows!  I also used the Happy Clouds cut file
And here are a couple close ups:

I used Color Cast Designs Sunshine and Rainbows from the March Release as my title (and I painted it black)! I also used some flair from {a flair for buttons} for the perfect touch.

I made a video of my process if that something that suits your fancy!

Thanks for stopping by! See you again soon!

..:: love ::..

Hi friends! Sharing a little bit of MJ love on the {a flair for buttons} blog today!

I was actually able to combine three of my favorite things in this layout -- Color Cast Designs products, Shimmerz Paints, and flair from {a flair for buttons}! Here are a few close ups:

The 'love' comes from Color Cast Designs January release "Into You" set which can be found here.

I made a process video if that something that suits your fancy!

I used several shades of blue Shimmerz Vibez for this layout (Snow Way Man, Cold as Ice, and Frost Bite). You can grab them here.  If you mention my name at check out you will get a little extra something included in your order for free!

The flair I used came from the Phrases 1 Flair set.  I love the messy circles on the flair!

..:: remember this dream ::..

Hi friends! I am up on the {a flair for buttons} blog today with this layout about my daughter starting piano lessons.  I am using a whole bunch of leftovers from the October Hip Kit Club Kits, some lovely pieces from Color Cast Designs October release and two pieces of {a flair for buttons} flair.  Here is my layout:

And here are a few close ups:

This gorgeous flair is from {a flair for buttons} Black and Gold Flair set.

And this is from the Lovely Words 2 Flair set.

For my title I used the word "REMEMBER" from Color Cast Designs' Twinkling Lights Set, along with Thickers from the October Embellishment kit by Hip Kit Club and the word dream was from Maggie Holmes that I had in my stash!  I sprinkled around a few hearts from the Confetti Mix that was part of the October release from Color Cast Designs.

I also made a process video, if that suits your fancy!

..:: enjoy today ::..

Hi friends! I am up on the {a flair for buttons} blog with a layout for you about my silly daughter.

I started by stitching random-length horizontal lines with red, white, or black thread along the left side of my layout. Next I created a base for my phone by painting AquaHuez Inter-BLACK-tic Shimmerz paints with a thick brush (I also splattered some of it around the page). I gathered all of the black, white and red items from the October Hip Kit Club Kits and added all the sentiments, arrows and vellum hearts.

I used two pieces of flair from the "Black and White Words Flair 2" set. One says "this happened" the other says "that happened".  These pieces were totally perfect for this layout.

The second part of the title, Today was Awesome, and the title red acrylic hearts are all from the October release from Color Cast Designs. I absolutely love the releases and cannot wait to use many of them with my December Documented this year!

Thanks for stopping by! See you soon!

..:: wonderful first lesson ::..

Hi friends! I am up on the {A Flair For Buttons} blog today with this layout I used using flair from the Black and Gold Flair set

Here is a close up of that lovely flair.

I am supper lucky to be on a few design teams. As a result, I was also able to use items from the Color Cast Designs September release that I got from Color Cast Designs. The wood veneer items on this page are from CCD and I love them! Here are a few close ups:

Finally I was able to use several items from Shimmerz Paints on this layout for my background.  I had so much fun making this one!

I also made a process video, if that suits your fancy!

..:: celebrate making memories ::..

Hi friends! I'm here today with a project using a couple of the September Release sets from Color Cast Designs. These confetti leaves are completely awesome. Here is my project:

Here are a couple of close ups of those amazing leaves:

I used one of these Currently Tags (also from the Color Cast September Release) as part of my title (I used the word "making").

Most of my other supplies are from the Paper Issues Store. My background paper and the huge "memories" word are from Dear Lizzy's most recent collection, Star Gazer.  And all of the other cards and embellishments are from the Rocktober Kit (like a swag bag on crack) from Paper Issues. I also based my layout design on this Sketchy Saturday sketch.

But don't take my word for it...I made a video of my process, if that suits your fancy.

Thanks for stopping by! See you again soon!

Pssst....my October Hip Kit is here!  Watch for a new layout using the kit, by the end of the week! :-)

..:: first day of school ::..

Hi friends! I am up on the A Flair For Buttons blog today with this layout about the first day of school -- and it's not exactly what you might think  It's not photos of my daughter, but photos of the team of teachers that I work with!  I am so blessed to have an awesome team, and so I thought I should document it! Here's a look:

I started with some Shimmerz paints to create the perfect backdrop of primary colors.  I used Roses are Red Acritonez, Yell-O it's me Paste-Eez and Oakie Bear Blue Inklingz for the bulk of this layout.

For my title I used this acrylic "first day of school" from the August 2017 Color Cast Designs release (look for a new release coming out tomorrow, you are going to LOVE it)! I absolutely love the look of this white acrylic backed by red! Gah! Way better than I thought it was going to look -- I love it when that happens.

I found three pieces of flair from the shop that were absolutely perfect for this layout. I just love the pops of color that each piece provides.

This yellow piece of flair from the Summertime Flair 1 flair set was the perfect pop of yellow!

This "I Love Us" from the Family is Forever flair set is perfect! Totally tells the truth!

And finally, this piece from the Watercolors Flair set is the piece that ties it all together!  I love how this turned out, thank you so much for checking it out!

..:: hello lucius & bea ::..

Hello friends! I pulled out some Shimmerz mists, Color Cast Designs August release items, some A Flair for Buttons Flair, and some Maggie Holmes Carousel for my latest layout!  I feel so lucky to be able to work with these products!

For the background, I used Oh Say Can You Sea, and Well Blue Me Down, (Coloringz Products) and the packaging technique to create a space for my photos and embellishments to sit. I also splattered using the same products and  Night Moves (also Coloringz) to add a little more visual texture to the page.

This ampersand! One of my favorites from the Color Cast Designs recent release -- they are perfection! And this color. OMGoodness. I can't even. I also through in some of the heart confetti in the same color.

A layout cannot be complete without some flair from A Flair for Buttons. This layout was all about these two cousins always finding fun together. Shelley always has the perfect flair for any occasion. 😀

 Thanks for stopping by!

..:: sweet treat shenanigans ::..

I am up on the {A Flair for Buttons} blog today with another layout using a few of my favorite things. Flair, color cast designs creations, and shimmers paints... I was able to use them all on this summery layout!

I started with some new paints that I got from Shimmerz Paints! I used my palette knife and three colors of paint to make my background. I pulled colors from the photo to begin with and then used AcriToneZ Orange You Glad, along with Tree Hugger and Raspberry Sorbet (both Paste-Eez). Once my background was on, I found two pieces of flair from the Hello Spring Flair Set that matched perfectly!

I was also able to use several pieces (old and newer) from Color Cast Designs for my title and embellishments. I love they mix of color and wood veneer.

If you are following me on IG (and if you aren't, why aren't you?), you probably already know that I am on all three design teams -- Shimmerz Paints, Color Cast Designs, and A Flair for Buttons. I am so blessed to be able to work with these gorgeous products!

Thanks for stopping by and I'll see you real soon!

..:: wild thing ::..

Hi everyone! I am up on the {a flair for buttons} blog and IG with a fun layout for you using, flair from AFFB's Black and Gold Set and the Black and White Words 2 Set, and some yummy products from Color Cast Designs (old and new)!

I pulled the colors from the photo -- her skirt and bike are salmon-ish, and those Mine Craft sunglasses are purple (her favorite color). And I just happened to have some Color Cast products, thread and washi to help pull those colors out. I found two pieces of flair from the Black and Gold set that I thought worked really well to help add pops of black and white, and also added to the story.

I am in love with this acrylic and wood veneer set from Color Cast Design's July release. I am not really a big fan of purple, but this is just gorgeous and I loved working with it and the star confetti from July -- I also threw in some salmon and light blue confetti from past releases.

This arrow flair is from the Black and White Words 2 set and it helped to bring the focus to my story and help move the eyes around the page. I totally love how it looks with the black and white text paper from Amy Tangerine's latest colloction.

I also used Sketchy Saturday sketch from Paper Issues, you can find that here.

Thanks for stopping by! See you soon!
