I thought this collection was perfect for my photos! When I posted these photos on social media I commented that I was pretty sure gnomes or fairies lived in this log, and what perfect papers for that thought! Also the words on the flair matched the sentiment of this story. Here a few close ups:
I layered a bunch of vegetation ephemera behind and around the photos. I loved making this one!
I made a video of my process, if that's something that suits your fancy. I will let you know that it started a bit different than it turned out!
Thanks for stopping by and I will see you again soon! XO og.
I used papers from the Simple Stories Simple Vintage Garden collection. I loved the pink and thought it went well with the donut flair! I also added a little bit of mixed media to the background. I used a Vicki Boutin stencil and some Vicki Boutin stencils to create a cascade of butterflies in the background. I used some of the butterflies in the ephemera from the collection and I fussy cut some more from the patterned papers. Here are some close ups of the flair!
The collection also had some stickers that fit the theme of this layout perfectly!
I really enjoyed making this one! I made a video of my process if that's something that suits your fancy!
Thank you for stopping by and I will see you in my next video! XO o.g.
I used the fantastic floral patterned paper for a strip down the center. Next I added some strips on either side from the 6x8 paper pad - and I used my machine to stitch it all down with red thread. Then, I grabbed some floral embellishments from the collection for my clusters.
I backed the cut file with some patterned paper and added some red embroidery floss in the holes of the handle (that's my favorite part!). This cute apron and grill fit the theme perfectly!
I made a video of my process if that's something that suits your fancy!

Hi friends! I am up on the {a flair for buttons} blog today with a layout and process video for you. This might seem strange, but stick with me! I am using sloth flair in my December Daily album! Here is a look at Days 5 and 6 in my album.
Day 6 is all about my sloth wrapping paper! I have loved sloths for years, but apparently they are really popular right now -- and they are everywhere! So, I was super excited to fine sloth Christmas wrapping paper for this year! So, I thought I might as well use that sloth flair, right? Especially since Day 5 is about being so tired I went to bed with my daughter at 8:30. That's also sloth-ish, right? So, I added another sloth flair for that page! here is a closer look at Day 5.
I added my typed journaling below my photo and did some stitching around the photo. On Day 6 I used a big photo and kept it pretty simple with flair , a number, and a couple of enamel dots.
For my journaling on Day 6 I made a little pocket (between pages 6-7) to add my journaling on a tag that I made using my manual die cutting machine.
Here are a couple of close ups of the awesome flair from the Sloth Love Flair Set.
This two-day spread came together quickly and I love the 'non-Christmas" flair on this page! I made a video of my process, if that suits your fancy!
You can find process videos of my title page, and days 1-4 right here. Thank you so much for stopping by! I will see you again soon! XO o.g.
Time for a Product Spotlight over on the Paper Issues Blog. The Design Team got to play with one of the new Simple Stories lines called Sunshine & Happiness. I love it! It's so bright and exactly the colors I love.
Perfect fit for this photo of my daughter eating ice cream on our deck.
I used alphas from the sticker sheet and a couple of die cuts from the ephemera pack for my title.
The 6x6 pad, a piece of 12x12 striped patterned paper, and some tissue made up my layers behind the photo.
More ephemera, stickers, and enamel dots for this cluster. I loved working with this collection! I have already made a couple of layouts and use some of the stickers and ephemera in my planner!
We just received a big shipment in the Paper Issues Store, Pink Paislee, Crate, American Crafts....run don't walk and grab some before it's gone! Use the code 'orangegearle' for 20% off your purchase!
This month you need to grab your water colors (or your child's water colors) and use them on a project. Play along with us, won't you? Get all the details in the July Challenge Album and on the blog!
I started by designing a mosaic heart cut file (which you can grab for free here), and I also had my Silhouette Cameo "cut out" the word summer. Actually instead of having it cut out the word summer, but I designed it to poke holes so that I could use thread to stitch around the title.
Here are a few close ups:
I made a process video if that's something that you fancy! I'd love it if you'd subscribe to my You Tube channel.

I absolutely love Sketchy Saturday at Paper Issues. It's one of my most favorite projects to work on! This month was no exception! I decided to use Simple Stories Pumpkin Spice collection for this layout about picking out our pumpkin this year!
Here is a look at Becki Adams's fabulous layout (I love the fall layout with non-traditional colors), and the sketch based on the layout.
There is so much awesome in the Paper Issues Store right now! Check it out, grab some fun, and don't forget to use the code 'orangegearle' for 20% off your purchase!
I used my 1" and 1.5" circles punches and punched out a bunch of my favorite papers from the collection. I also added some word and circle stickers #ftw.
A little bit of doodling usually makes it into my planner, along with water color pencils. (I'm super excited about date night this week)!
Thanks for stopping by! This past weekend was the Paper Issues online crop and because of all the inspiration, I made a bunch of stuff and will be sharing it here, soon. All of the challenges are open through midnight Nov. 14, there is still time to play! Check out the challenges here.
What's in my planner: I love using stickers and embellishments from collections that I have purchased for scrapbooking. It just works for me. I purchase many collections (my motto is 'buy all the things') and I always have stuff left over. The 6x6 pads are perfect because the patterns are smaller than the 12x12 papers, but I also love to use the branding strips from the larger papers, the embellishments (like die cuts or vellum pieces), and the stickers (even the alphas)! This month I used items mostly from Simple Stories Pumpkin Spice collection. I added some washi tape from my stash and I used water color pencils to highlight a few items through the month.
Grab this collection, or anything else you may need (buy all the things), from the Paper Issues store and use the code 'orangegearle' at checkout for 20% off your purchase!
